Gaddesden Place RDA Centre provides indoor and outdoor riding facilities and instruction for people with disabilities
We enable our riders to; Learn a skill Increase confidence and awareness Improve strength, balance and coordination Stimulate circulation and digestion Widen experience and social contact And have fun! Riders from 5yrs to 60+ have a wide range of disabilities. Some learn to ride independently and compete while others need a leader and two side helpers to enjoy some gentle exercise
We have a large Indoor Riding Arena with Dressage mirrors and a sand and rubber surface. There is a hydraulic mounting ramp, toilets (including accessible toilet)and kitchen. There is a spectators gallery that seats 40+ with infra red heaters. We have a feed shed and workshop where we can teach horse care to small groups. We have access to the beautiful Gaddesden Estate for hacking. We also have around 70 wonderful volunteers.
